Halloween, 2015 and we still aren’t fucking around.

This year in the Spaghetti house, we have tried our hardest to keep things looking and feeling “normal” for our kids.
Like many of you know, when there are hardships it can be devastating to the day to day, and that is what (I believe) affects kids the most.

Halloween was always a big deal in our house. We have had the same tradition since Quattro was 3 years old, in our house in Ballard. We invited friends over for chili and trick or treating in our neighborhood. With spiked drinks for everyone, walking along Market St and down Ballard Ave. we would eventually trade off duties, so that the other could pop inside our friends bar, we’d grab a drink and then come home, slip into our pi’s and hand out candy to the bigger kids, that always seemed to hit us up late.

This year it’s not just Halloween that looks different. All the holidays look and feel different (it’s still 90 degrees) but we are doing our best to show our kids that holidays can and will be celebrated no matter how when or where.

Things may not look the same around here. We may not be able to meet up with their friends and we won’t know any faces while we walk around on Saturday but we will be together, have fun and look sharp doing it.
